Each chapter includes numerous exercises and programming projects. As a programming language, the book uses Scheme, a modern dialect of LISP, which incorporates block structure and lexical scoping. This book inaugurates the MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science series, copublished with McGraw Hill.
